Originally a Patrician Roman villa built by Count Paterno Solari at the end of the 19th century, the Giulio Cesare was converted into an elegant townhouse hotel in 1969 and has been owned and operated by the Pandolfi family since then.
Throughout the Hotel Giulio Cesare guests will find a harmoniously blending of Old World elegance and modern conveniences—from the original Louis XVI pieces, antique tapestries from the 1700s, damask wall dressings and marble fireplace in the spacious Lounge, to the crystal chandeliers, plush carpets, rich floor length draperies and period furnishings in the 80 tastefully-appointed rooms. Amenities include ensuite marble bathrooms with tubs/shower, complimentary high speed Internet, satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, mini-bar, safe, central air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, and complimentary breakfast.
In addition to the Lounge, which offers cocktails as well as an array of snacks and quick meals, during the warmer months guests can enjoy refreshments in the lovely outdoor patio where the lush gardens and fountain create a tranquil environment in the middle of the city.
