Customers Say It Best About Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel Luxe Hotels

It is to be expected that we would brag about our Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, the property that really is an urban enclave in the midst of bustling Los Angeles. We would naturally also point out that our rooms are 45% larger than standard hotel rooms, and that out spacious pool deck and delightful Sunday Jazz Brunch are special favorites among our guests. We would also brag that the amenities that the hotel offers have now come to be expected by our guests and that they are the very lure that brings them back again and again to the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.

But, as we said, our bragging is to be expected, so it doesn’t so much matter what we say, but rather what our guests say. And we are delighted to share some of their own observations and experiences — in their own words, as seen on our Trip Advisor page:

“We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in July 2011. It is conveniently located right off Highway 405 so we could hop onto the highway to get anywhere we needed to go. Luckily we were upgraded to an executive suite when we checked in so we had a large room for the 4 of us. We stayed in the building near the pool and tennis courts. The pool is magnificent with beautiful furniture and plenty of towels. In the morning we would drive over to San Vicente Boulevard, which is a 5-10 minute, drive away where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in LA.” – From August 2011

“It is a hidden gem of a hotel, enough distance from the hustle & bustle of downtown LA, but close enough to enjoy LA’s many attractions, beaches and shops in nearby Beverley Hills. We were blown away by this hotel and would recommend anyone to stay there.” – From July 2011

“ I stayed at this Luxe property for business. It was conveniently located to the area I needed to be. I travel with a lot of gear, and the hotel staff was tremendously helpful with assisting me with all of my suitcases. I didn’t need to lift a finger while on the property! Also, the restaurant is absolutely outstanding! I highly recommend enjoying lunch or dinner if you have the time. Fresh, quality produce – very healthy – with a beautiful presentation. I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool, sauna or spa – but will intend to with a return trip. The free Wi-Fi was also a BIG plus.” – From July 2011

“Luxe is in probably the best suburb in LA, Brentwood, which is a beautiful neighborhood and safe to walk in – the main reason we stay there. The hotel itself is neat, clean and pretty modern. We love the pool area and since we stayed last time they now have a bar at the pool and provide cold water and apples along with cabanas. The staff is all so friendly and helpful. It’s very quiet, we never heard our neighbors in the next rooms if there were any. There seriously isn’t much to complain about this hotel and I think if you can find something, you will be pretty hard to please anywhere.” – From May 2011

“The staff at this hotel actually love their job and enjoy making people (no matter who you are) feel important & valued. Valet, bellmen, front desk, concierge, restaurant, after hour’s managers and security all go above and beyond everyday. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that the staff are so consistently good.” – From April 2011

“After my recent stay, I asked myself what makes the difference between exceptional or outstanding service, which I’ve experienced elsewhere, and the extra something that was evident at this hotel. The thing I’ve been able to identify is that their employees are obviously well trained to deliver great service but in addition to this they also like working there and appear to enjoy the people they interact with. They were joyful and happy to do their jobs and we very much noticed and appreciated this distinction. People who genuinely like their jobs and their boss and their co-workers plus the people they are of service to is actually something that can’t be trained and is not easily defined but we all definitely know if when we see it. I highly recommend this hotel.” – From March 2011

Do remember, as you read all these generous compliments, that they come from the guests that had those very genuine experiences while staying at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel and that their enthusiasm about their stay led them to write about it — unsolicited.

A “Must-See” Only at LA’s Luxe City Center Hotel Luxe Hotels

DSC_6636c-72

If you find yourself out of time or too exhausted to take in yet another highlight or memorable site in Los Angeles, nor in the proximity of a great museum that boasts among its collection a few of the great Van Gogh paintings, there is another way to catch the mesmerizing beauty of Van Gogh’s great works of art — a Vincent Van Gogh Video Art Montage.  You can see this revolutionary presentation of art at the Luxe City Center Hotel, located in the heart of downtown LA, within the sports and entertainment district that surrounds STAPLES Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.

It’s a “must-see.”

As you make your way through the hotel lobby, you will surely be awed by the video montage, located behind the reception desk, that takes you through the renowned artist’s most widely recognized works, an exhibit that will capture the attention of even the most novice art aficionados.

The journey begins with Van Gogh’s famed “Starry Night” painting that delicately inspires and, within two minutes, moves on to the beloved “Irises,” then to the “Wheatfield with Crows,” and then through many more famous masterpieces of the celebrated Dutch artist. The beauty of it all is that the masterpieces are in constant flux and the pixels mellifluously blend from painting to painting on a LCD screen. Most notably, the pixels are manipulated in “Starry Night” in order to change the masterpiece from night to day right before our eyes.

It beats looking at the poster on your wall or image libraries online.

In any case, you might as well hop over there and check it out. The Luxe City Center Hotel is the only location worldwide that displays the Van Gogh Video Art Montage piece produced by The Americhip Studio Collection.

The Video Art Montage technology is in itself a work of art.  It melds all the disciplines in digital signage, animation and graphic arts. In 2010, Americhip combined its love of story telling and masterpieces displays and created the new technique. The Van Gogh piece was installed at the Luxe City Center Hotel in August 2011, and will remain at the property permanently.

While at the hotel, you might want to also check out its signature comforts and hospitality services, intrinsic in all Luxe Hotel properties.  As such, you can tell friends and business acquaintances that besides having the unique opportunity to see the exceptional art montage, travelers staying at this hotel can also take advantage of its elegant ambiance and exceptional amenities.

Believe me, once there, they will always trust your judgment.

Be A Hotel Guest And A Museum-Goer At The Same Time Luxe Hotels

If it is Vancouver that you are planning to visit next, there is a hotel that you should know about that literally doubles as a museum. Yes, a one-of-a-kind hotel-museum. Imagine staying at a hotel where even the guest rooms and suites are situated on floors with such names as the “Gallery Floors” or “Museum Floors.”

At the art-filled Listel Hotel , a member of Luxe Hotels Worldwide properties, the Gallery floors are curated by the Buschlen Mowatt Gallery, and include both original works of art and limited editions of works by such artists as Yehouda Chaki, Bernard Cathelin and Z.Z. Wei. The Museum Floors offer a tribute to all things original and distinctly British Columbian and feature contemporary furniture crafted from hemlock and cedar, as well as Northwest Coast art, curated by the world-renowned Museum of Anthology at the University of British Columbia.

But it gets better…

Recently named “Vancouver’s most art-full hotel,” The Listel Hotel is in the heart of Vancouver’s most vibrant shopping and dining street, Robson and is equidistant to the financial district. It is within easy walking distance of the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Center, Stanley Park, English Bay and Coal Harbor, making sightseeing, a breeze.

It beats running around town, maps in hand, chasing down highlights of a city.

And if its comforts you seek to add to all this, no worries. The Listel Hotel offers the signature comforts and service of a Luxe Worldwide Hotels member property. You can have it all — the elegance, the gracious hospitality and the delectable food served in the hotel’s O’Doul’s Restaurant & Bar, which features a typical West Coast eclectic menu created by Executive Chef, Chris Whittaker. You can try a new dish such as the Westcoast Bouillabaisse or Citrus and Maple-cured BC Sablefish or a new wine from the hotel’s award-winning wine list, while you listen to vibrant jazz offered every night of the week, performed by the city’s top artists.

But be careful…once your art-loving friends or family members get wind of this, you might get uninvited company. If a business associate or two hear of The Listel Hotel’s one-of-a-kind art collection, they might recognize that being surrounded by good art can provide just the right respite — a soothing relief from a tiring business day.
