Flemings Hotel Wins Gold Medal for Pink Afternoon Tea Floral Extravaganza at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010

Flemings’ florist Yan Skates’s spectacular floral display representing the hotel’s legendary afternoon teas is the central arrangement in the Floral Design Marquee at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. At 3.5 metres high, the arrangement is a replica of the silver cake stand in the Front Room. Arranged in domes, nestling and cascading from huge chocolate filigree cupcake holders, the feast of pink flowers includes new varieties of hydrangea, Yan’s new favourite rose “Keano” with a scent of boiled sweets as well as cottage garden favourites mixed with more exotic choices like Gloriosa lilies and Vanda orchids. Yan has been creating the floral displays in the hotel for six years and we are so pleased that on their debut at Chelsea Flower Show they won an RHS Gold Medal.

The new film starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, “Knight and Day,” is being filmed in Seville, Spain.

During the filming, Tom Cruise has been using the SUITE ALCAZAR VILLA for personal use. This lovely suite is part of the Casa Romana Hotel Boutique our Luxe member in Seville.
